01 Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Junren Wang regarding your use of Clipbus. By downloading, installing, or using Clipbus, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Clipbus.
02 Operator and contact
Clipbus is operated by Junren Wang, an individual developer (sole proprietor) based in Shenzhen, China. You can contact us at [email protected] for general and billing matters, or [email protected] for privacy and data requests.
03 The service
Clipbus is a clipboard manager for macOS. It keeps your clipboard history searchable and is local-first by default. Clipbus also offers optional Cloud Sync, which synchronizes clipboard history using end-to-end encryption only after you choose to enable it.
Clipbus is delivered digitally: you download the app, receive a license key by email, and activate it online. No physical product is provided.
04 License grant
Clipbus Pro is sold as a one-time purchase (a perpetual license). Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use Clipbus for your own use.
You may not resell, redistribute, rent, lease, or sublicense Clipbus or your license key; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except to the extent permitted by applicable law; circumvent, disable, or tamper with license validation or activation; or remove proprietary notices.
05 Intellectual property
Clipbus, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Junren Wang and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
06 Purchases, payment, and taxes
Purchases of Clipbus are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record (the authorized reseller) for the sale. Paddle handles the sale, payment collection, invoicing, and applicable taxes. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location and are handled by Paddle.
07 Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which offers a 14-day full refund and is processed through Paddle. Please see the Refund Policy at /refund for details.
08 Acceptable use
You agree to use Clipbus only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws. You are responsible for the content you copy, store, and sync using Clipbus.
09 Third-party services
Clipbus relies on third-party services to operate: Paddle for payments and as Merchant of Record; Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) for usage analytics and crash diagnostics in the app; and Cloudflare for licensing and Cloud Sync infrastructure. Your use of Clipbus may be subject to these providers' terms, and their handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy.
10 Disclaimer of warranties
Clipbus is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Clipbus will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will not occur.
11 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Junren Wang will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Clipbus. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Clipbus in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12 Termination
These Terms apply while you use Clipbus. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, including the license restrictions. Upon termination, you must stop using Clipbus and delete all copies.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Clipbus after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
14 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or Clipbus will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Shenzhen.
